Service Description
In this 4 hour class you will make your own little sample of our incredibly fertile forest floor. We will start with felting a selection of mushrooms, lichen, sticks and rocks. (Note: these will be basic shapes that convey an image, and are not meant to be biologically realistic). Using a variety of coloured wool and bits of other fabrics, you will construct your base layout and the top surface, incorporating the items you made earlier. Then you will start the process of wet felting it all together to make one solid piece of decorative fabric. The finished size will be about 6 inches diameter or 4 x 12 inches (great for windowsill display). Please bring a large bath towel, a small hand towel, and a pair of good scissors.
