Soft Slab with Sandy Harquail

Ihis is a two day workshop running Saturday April 27th and Sunday April 28th from 10-3

In this intensive 10 hour hand building class workshop with Sandy Harquail, we will begin by learning how to prepare, store and handle slabs. Through a balance of demonstration and hands on exploration we will create forms that have squared edges and curves. We will develop our own paper templates to create bowls, cups and mugs using cylinders and conical forms. We will also look at a variety of ways to make handles. This class is designed for students with some clay experience. The price includes clay and bisque fire. Participants are welcome to return during Tuesday eveing or Saturday afternoon drop in time for glazing or for an additional fee pieces can be glazed and shipped to you. Please bring a towel or apron.
