Get Ready for a Claytastic Afternoon!
We’re bringing the clay-throwing fun to Nanaimo with the 3rd Annual Nanaimo Great Pottery Throwdown– and it's all for a great cause! Join us for an afternoon of hilarious, fast-paced pottery challenges, a fundraiser for the Artist-In-Residency Program.
Expect nothing less than clay-flying chaos as professional potters face off in five wild, timed challenges:

Hand-Built Replica
Throw it Blindfolded
Widest Bowl
NEW! Team Throwing Challenge!
There will be laughs, triumphs, mishaps, and lots of mess – it’s all part of the fun! Each round’s winner will score a prize donated generously by our community businesses.
Thirsty Cup Fundraiser: Mugs, handmade and donated by local potters, will be on display and for sale for a $30 minimum donation.
Whether you're a pottery pro or just here for the fun, everyone is welcome! And don’t worry, we’ll kick things off with a professional demonstration of each skill.
