Wet Felting Workshop: Forest Floor

If you love forest walks and marvel at the little wonders you find along the way—mushrooms, lichen, twigs, and rocks—then this workshop is for you! In this 5-hour class (with a short break), we’ll have fun creating your very own "mini forest floor" using wet felting techniques. Whether you're a total beginner or have some felting experience, this class is perfect for anyone who wants to explore beyond the basics in a relaxed, creative setting. We’ll kick things off by felting some fun little forest features like mushrooms, lichen, sticks, and rocks (don’t worry, they don’t need to be scientifically accurate—just charming!). Then, you’ll use a variety of colorful wool and other fabric bits to create the base layer and top surface of your forest scene. Once you’ve got your design in place, we’ll work together to wet felt everything into one beautiful, cohesive piece of fabric. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a lovely finished piece—either a 6-inch circle or a 4 x 10-inch rectangle—perfect for displaying on a windowsill or giving as a unique gift! All materials are provided. Please bring a large bath towel, a small hand towel, and a pair of sharp scissors.
