Service Description

In this 3 hour workshop we will be testing the boundaries of our clay and our throwing skills. Using the stretching properties of our clay to change the volume and appearance of our pots while they are still on the wheel. Cutting and folding our forms to alter them out of their "round" shapes and into organic and fluid pots. Demonstrations will include, altering forms to add space for handles knobs and spouts. Manipulation of forms to create patterns and interest on your form, and addition of texture midway through throwing to create exaggerated textures that react to our thrown spirals. 1 hours of demonstrations and 2 hours of practice. 8lbs Reclaim clay will be provided for the class. If you wish to work larger, clay is available for purchase, this allows us to cover the cost of firing your items.
