Service Description

Create a great foundation to build your pottery skills in our bright and friendly studio! With small class sizes we will be able to provide and follow clear physical distancing guidelines This class is designed for students with little or no clay experience. Our our instructors can teach you through demonstrations at every level. You will learn about the basic properties of clay and explore skills on the potters wheel, surface decoration and glazing techniques. Your instructor will demonstrate the process of throwing, shaping and trimming pots. Mondays from 6:30-9pm Our studio is taking precautions to reduce the risk from communicable viruses, this includes requiring a COVID Vaccine passport. We are currently asking everyone to continue to wear masks in the studio, and there is individual wash-water to reduce trips to the sink. We have rigorousness sanitation scheduled between all activities and there is ready access to hand sanitizer and we will continue to encourage and create easy ways to maintain physical distancing in the classroom. We are asking everyone to have their own tools We are asking everyone to wear a MASK in the classroom. A $45 value bag of clay is included in all classes. WHAT TO BRING An apron or hand towel. A intro set of throwing tools. You can bring your own or tools can be purchased in the studio for $15. if you do not want to keep them we will buy them back from you at the end of the class for $11 *Cancellations & Missed Classes Due to our policy requiring anyone feeling ill to stay home, missed classes will be compensated by adding 3 hours to a Studio Drop In card to be used within 2 weeks of the class finishing. Refunds are only given for cancellations made 10 days prior to the first day of class. If Cancellation is due to COVID you may request a refund. We are located at 1-140 Wallace St, Nanaimo. Parking is available behind the studio and on the street.
