Service Description

In this workshop, we will learn to take prints on paper, combine them with collage elements and then transfer them onto a different surface. We will start with creating monoprints using a gelli plate with mark making tools, stencils and colour. Then we will look at how to move away from just having prints on paper to adding other elements and ways to display our work. Participants will leave with a finished print/collage piece on canvas. All supplies are included. Open to adults and older teens. Meet your instructor: Francesca's background is in printmaking but she also has a love for collage and book arts. Her work usually features bright colors and patterns and she enjoys adding different techniques together. She holds a BA in visual arts and theatre from Vancouver Island University and also teaches with the Arts Council of Ladysmith and the Artists In The Schools program with the Nanaimo Art Gallery.
