Service Description

Gelli Plate Printing. In this workshop, we will be combining an assortment of techniques using papers, acrylic paint and a gelli plate. Each participant will learn the basic techniques: ● How to work with the Gelli Plate ● Explore layering ● Work with found objects to create patterns ● Printmaking terminology ● How to incorporate your prints into other forms of art ● FREE make your own gelli plate recipe included! If you love color and patterns then this is the workshop for you. No experience is necessary. Come out and have fun because that is what it is all about!. Handouts are provided. Please bring an apron, it tends to get a bit messy. About the Instructor: Francesca is a graduate of the Visual Arts Program from Vancouver Island University specializing in traditional printmaking. Her work primarily focuses on abstract and incorporating plant material. She has been working with gelli plates for almost 8 years and currently teaches printmaking at the Arts Council of Ladysmith and the Artist in the Schools program with the Nanaimo Art Gallery. Cancellation Policy

For cancellation of one-day classes please contact the studio, do not use the online system. Refunds are available if you cancel 14 days before Make-it-nights, and 3 hrs before drop-in starts. Please note late cancellations or no-shows for drop-ins will be charged unless the spot is filled.
